Cockpit Day is a special event in co-operation with OPAL Events where veterans and new users of Cockpit can come together. Take this event as an opportunity to learn how others are using Cockpit to advance their Product Development Process (PDP).

Cognition was honored to chair the first West Coast Medical Devices Summit! This event was added to the schedule following the second very successful Medical Devices Summit in Boston. We hope you joined us and industry professionals from around the world as we dove deep into the strategies and techniques necessary to reduce risk and maximize the return for medical device companies. This event spent two days walking through the total product life cycle while critically examining undiscovered or underused strategies for reducing risk and increasing return for medical device manufacturers. This conference addressed ways in which Systems Engineering principles and perspectives are performed today and how Systems Engineering may influence our future. Topics included technology insertion, process improvements, and organizational governance of the systems we make, manage, operate and maintain over their life cycle. Cognition Cockpit Customization Class

Cognition hosted a two-day course that was filled to capacity (see photos) on basic Cockpit customization. Some of the topics covered in this course:
- Creating User Defined/Custom Attributes
- Creating automatic database requests to access data in various ways
- Defining custom document sections with total flexibility
- Use of Cockpit’s ASE scripting code and HTML to format documents
- Creating reports, custom home pages for requirements/risks/tests/etc.

Risk Management for Medical Device Design and Engineering

Cognition attended a conference in San Diego for risk management in medical devices. David Cronin was selected as Chairman of the conference and Mitch Hayes lead the entire group in a live discussion of how to make risks, requirements, and complaints merge in a real time way through the product development process.
